ELECTRO-LUMINESCENT(EL) SHEET is structured with a
phosphor layer sandwiched between two electrodes; it
functions electrically as a capacitor. When AC voltage is
applied across the electrodes, the light generated from the
phosphor is radiated through the transparent top electrode.
EL sheet have extremely low power draw and generate no
heat under normal operating conditions. EL sheets are
flexible - they can bend to conform to a products shape and
even operate while being flexed. EL sheet are virtually shock-proff and are not subject to
catastrophic failure. They are thin - as thin as 0.008 inches. Allowing them to provide light while using minimum space.
Their soft, even light is completely non-glaring.
